THE POWER OF PRAYER
Luke 18:1 Men ought always to pray, and not to faint. (KJV)
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
John 15:7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Note: “Abiding in Christ” guides you in the things you request.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. Note: It is important to ask according to God’s will.
Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Note: If we delight in the Lord, He will give us what our heart desires: an increased delight in God.
Luke 11: 11-13 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Note: The emphasis is on the Father giving good gifts, not granting all our wishes.

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Romans 8:26 We do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
GUIDANCE FROM GOD

1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!
Psalms 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
Psalms 91:15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Note: “straight” means “right and not crooked,”
Proverbs 16:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.
Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
Isaiah 48:17 I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.

Jeremiah 10:23 I know, O Lord, that the way of man is not in himself, that it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
Psalms 73:24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory.
Psalms 25:4-5 Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
