THE BELIEVER’S WALK
Proverbs 4:26-27 Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.
Colossians 2:6-7 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Note: The focus of our Christian walk is the same focus as our initial salvation: “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Romans 6:4 Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
Ephesians 4:1 Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called.
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
Galatians 5:16 Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

STUMBLING AND STRAYING
James 4:17 Whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
1 John 5:17 All wrongdoing is sin.
Romans 14:23 Whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.
Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Psalms 51:6 Behold, you (God) delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
Psalms 66:18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. Note:“Cherish” means “to tend lovingly, hold dear, cling to.”
Romans 7:18-19 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.
RISING AND RETURNING

1 John 2:1 If anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

John 17:15, 17 (Jesus prayed) I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.
James 4:7-10 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. Note: We mourn over the wretchedness of our sins.
Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Psalms 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Ezra 9:13 Our God has punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and has given us such deliverance as this. (KJV)

Psalms 37:23-24 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

PRAYERS FOR CLEANSING
Psalms 130:3-4 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.
Psalms 19:12-14 Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Note: “Presumptuous” means prideful.
Psalms 51:1-3, 10 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalms 31:5 Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O Lord, faithful God.
Psalms 32:5 I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.
