How Great a salvation

GOD IS ABLE TO SAVE US FROM SIN AND DEATH

Romans 5:12    Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.

James 1:14-15 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

Romans 6:23    The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:17    For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:14    Sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

Romans 6:18    Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness. (KJV)

Romans 8:1-2   There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

We ARE SAVED BY FAITH IN CHRIST

John 3:3       Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

1 John 5:1     Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God.

John 11:25     (Jesus said) “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

SAVING FAITH WILL PRODUCE GOOD FRUIT

Matthew 7:17  Every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.

Matthew 7:20  Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

James 2:26      For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

NEVERTHELESS, WE ARE NOT SAVED BY OUR OWN WORKS

Ephesians 2:8-9     For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Titus 3:5         He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

EVERLASTING SALVATION: ETERNAL LIFE

John 6:47 (Jesus said) “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.”

John 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Romans 8:35, 37-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 9:15   Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. (KJV)

GOD IS ABLE TO SAVE US FROM THE TRIALS OF LIFE

Romans 5:8, 10       God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

2 Corinthians 1:10   He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.

Romans 8:31-32      What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Hebrews 7:25   He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

2 Timothy 4:18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
